Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, Wealth Management Investment Products Greater Columbus, OH Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel to provide practical legal advice on wealth management investment products, with a focus on brokerage and investment advisory matters. Responsibilities include advising on product development, distribution, marketing, disclosures, agreements, and governance; interpreting applicable securities laws and regulations; and identifying, assessing, and documenting legal and related risks. The role partners with business stakeholders and control functions to support regulatory compliance, risk management, and effective controls. It also involves collaborating with legal colleagues, building strong working relationships, and contributing to special projects as business needs evolve. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor degree and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with at least five years of legal practice experience, including relevant financial services experience. Demonstrated experience advising on broker-dealer or investment advisory matters and investment products is required, along with working knowledge of securities laws, relevant regulations, and Regulation Best Interest. Applicants should exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and provide clear, commercially minded advice. Experience with registered investment funds or their distribution is preferred.
