Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead its mission, organizational strategy, and national presence. The CEO will drive membership growth and retention, modernize the participant experience, and translate strategic priorities into measurable results. Responsibilities include strengthening accountability and operational effectiveness, aligning national and local leadership while respecting local autonomy, and developing future leaders. The CEO will also build trust with boards, volunteers, staff, donors, public officials, and community partners, while advancing the organization’s visibility, relevance, and reach. Candidates should bring significant executive leadership experience in a large, complex organization, including success leading change, sustainable growth, and measurable outcomes. Experience with federated or similarly distributed networks, board and stakeholder engagement, consumer or member engagement, and oversight of multifaceted budgets is important. The role calls for strategic judgment, operational discipline, strong communication, and the ability to unite and inspire diverse groups. A deep commitment to youth development is valued. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA, JD, or other relevant advanced degree is an asset.
