Vice President of Credit Greater Denver, CO Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Credit to lead and develop its credit department, establish team goals, and foster strong collaboration. The role oversees commercial underwriting, loan structuring, and covenant setting to support sound, policy-compliant credit decisions. Responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance and concentration risk, helping manage problem loans, and partnering with senior credit leadership on policy, loan loss allowance, and regulatory exam and audit preparation. The Vice President will also provide credit risk reporting to senior management and the board and lead process and systems improvements. Candidates should have at least 10 years of credit experience, including leadership experience, and deep expertise in commercial credit analysis, financial statement analysis, loan documentation, and credit administration. Strong knowledge of banking regulations and hands-on experience supporting examinations and audits are required. The role calls for clear communication skills and the ability to turn credit data into actionable recommendations for executives and board members. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
