Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance with a clear path to CFO to build and lead the finance platform for a group expanding into various industrial assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading group accounting, reporting, audit, FP&A, and the finance team across different entities and jurisdictions. This role involves running treasury, owning relationships with financial institutions, driving capital allocation, and leading group restructuring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, including a professional qualification, and at least 15 years' experience, with a focus on project finance, structured debt, and a proven track record in leading finance teams. Experience in shipping, commodity trading, mining, or asset-heavy manufacturing is essential, as is a background in tax planning, and optimization, and experience in multiple jurisdictions. Applicants for the Head of Finance position at the company should be commercially sharp, with the ability to present to the CEO, board, and lenders with clarity and credibility. The role requires advanced skills in Excel, financial modeling, and experience with financial systems and tools. Nice-to-have qualifications include ship finance lender relationships, mining finance structures, and exposure to rating agencies, bond, or equity markets.
