Head of Risk

The Company is seeking a Head of Risk to oversee its enterprise and investment risk functions. The role includes enhancing the Enterprise Risk Management framework, including risk appetite, risk and control self-assessments, key risk indicators, and risk registers. Responsibilities also include overseeing investment risks across fixed-income and sukuk portfolios, reviewing investment proposals and portfolio analyses, and managing operational, business continuity, and third-party risks. The successful candidate will lead and develop risk teams, provide executive and Board-level reporting, and drive improvements to risk processes. Candidates should have at least 8–10 years of risk management experience within a regulated financial institution, including a minimum of three years leading teams. Proven ownership of an Enterprise Risk Management framework and investment risk experience with fixed-income or sukuk portfolios are required. Strong quantitative knowledge of value-at-risk, stress testing, and portfolio risk, along with relevant UAE regulatory experience, is essential. Excellent executive communication skills are required; FRM, PRM, or CFA credentials are preferred, and knowledge of Sharia-compliant products is an advantage.
