Associate Vice President, Position, Collateral & Satellite Systems Greater Hong Kong Area

The Company is seeking an experienced IT professional to join their Derivative Systems team as an Associate Vice President. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application development, testing, project implementation, and production support of mission-critical derivative systems. This role involves performing system development and project implementation, designing and enhancing applications with modern technologies, and collaborating with IT teams to resolve technical issues. The role also requires participation in rostered production support, including night shifts and public holidays, and the ability to undertake other assignments and projects as needed. Applicants must have a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' application development experience in large-scale systems, preferably within the financial services industry. Strong hands-on experience in Linux and Java is essential, with knowledge of Python, Perl, SQL, and Shell scripting being advantageous. Experience in web applications, databases, FIX protocol, and REST APIs is also required. Familiarity with microservices, containerized architecture, and cloud technologies is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and problem-solving skill set, the ability to work independently, and a good command of written and spoken English. Experience in derivatives markets and risk management models such as SPAN and/or VaR is an additional advantage.
