Head of Foundation

The Company is seeking a Head of Foundation to lead its strategy in partnership with trustees and guide its next phase of development. The role oversees grant-making and programmes, strengthens relationships with funded partners, and ensures resources are directed toward meaningful, lasting impact. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships across the foundation, its communities, and a wider business, while engaging with senior leaders and employees. They will also serve as an external ambassador, representing the foundation’s mission and bringing stakeholders together around its work. Candidates should bring strong experience in grant-making, funding, or social impact, along with a practical understanding of funding decisions and effective partner relationships. The role requires strategic judgement, leadership, and the ability to turn ambitions into clear priorities and effective delivery. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder leadership skills are essential, as is confidence engaging with senior leaders, trustees, and community partners. The ideal candidate will align with the foundation’s values, bring a collaborative and hands-on leadership style, and be able to develop a small team. Relevant experience may come from a foundation, charity, social justice organization, strategic partnerships, or another social impact setting.
