Interim Head of Finance

The Company is in search of a Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership during a period of transition and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the finance function, overseeing annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. This role requires ensuring robust financial controls, processes, and governance arrangements are in place, as well as leading the preparation of statutory accounts and managing the year-end audit process. The Head of Finance will also be expected to deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis, translate financial data into business insights, and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Applicants for the Head of Finance position at the company should be qualified accountants with significant post-qualification experience and a proven track record at a senior finance level. The role demands a candidate with a commercially minded approach, strong leadership skills, and experience in financial control, governance, and risk management. The ability to influence senior stakeholders, communicate complex financial information clearly, and drive process improvement through automation and technology is essential. While experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.
