Associate Vice President, Operational Risk Management (ORM), Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Specialist Greater Mumbai, India Area

The Company is seeking an Operational Risk Management (ORM) - Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding ESG and reputational risk within the operational risk management framework. This includes supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of relevant policies, controls, metrics, and governance. The role also involves coordinating with senior stakeholders on framework enhancements, policy adherence, and regulatory or audit matters. Key responsibilities for this role include supporting the integration of ESG into the operational risk control frameworks, ongoing development and monitoring of the operational risk framework related to ESG, and playing a pivotal role in the ownership of ESG and reputational risk policy documents. The candidate will be expected to have a strong background in the financial sector, with a focus on operational risk, and demonstrable experience in an ESG-related risk and controls role. Applicants for this position should have 5-8 years' experience in the financial sector, with a background in similar analysis and risk roles within the operational risk space. Strong knowledge of key regulations related to ESG, such as CSRD, CSDDD, and EU Taxonomy, is essential, as is experience in implementation requirements. The role requires excellent senior stakeholder management skills, the ability to build constructive partnerships, and strong people management skills. The ideal candidate will have operational risk experience, particularly from a framework, risk, and controls perspective, and the ability to work across a diverse group of stakeholders within a complex organization. The role also demands a proven ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively and to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows.
