Chief Legal Officer (CLO) & General Counsel Greater New York City, NY Area

The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel to serve as its senior legal executive and principal advisor to the CEO and executive leadership. The role provides strategic, practical counsel on healthcare regulation, corporate matters, contracts, real estate, employment, privacy, insurance, and enterprise risk. Responsibilities include leading legal support for partnerships, affiliations, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other organizational initiatives; negotiating significant contracts; and advising on workforce and real estate matters. The CLO/GC will identify emerging risks, oversee litigation and outside counsel, support corporate governance, and collaborate with compliance and government relations functions. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor degree and be admitted in good standing to the New York State Bar. Significant senior-level legal experience is required, preferably in healthcare or another highly regulated environment, along with strong knowledge of healthcare regulation and experience across areas such as transactions, contracting, employment, real estate, privacy, compliance, and risk. In-house healthcare legal experience is preferred, as is familiarity with federally qualified health centers, public healthcare programs, managed care, or nonprofit healthcare. Candidates should have experience advising CEOs and senior executives, managing outside counsel and legal expenditures, and translating complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance.
