The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Logistics Underwriting Manager to help build and grow its logistics insurance business. The role combines underwriting, product development, business development, and market leadership, including shaping coverage offerings, underwriting guidelines, risk appetite, pricing, and distribution strategy. Responsibilities include underwriting complex global logistics accounts, evaluating contractual liabilities and operational exposures, managing portfolio performance, and collaborating with internal partners to strengthen underwriting capabilities. The successful candidate will also develop broker and client relationships, represent the organization in the market, and mentor underwriters on logistics risks and best practices. Candidates should have at least seven years of insurance experience in logistics, transportation, marine, cargo, or related specialty risks, along with significant experience serving logistics companies and strong knowledge of relevant coverages. Expertise in analyzing contractual liabilities and developing insurance solutions for complex operations is required; experience with policy forms, endorsements, guidelines, or product development is an advantage. The role calls for a record of building broker and client relationships, generating profitable opportunities, and coaching junior underwriters. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills and an entrepreneurial approach to developing a specialty insurance business.
