Vice President of Transportation

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Transportation to guide the strategic growth and market presence of its transportation practice. The role focuses on developing business strategies, strengthening relationships with public agencies and private clients, and leading major pursuits from positioning and teaming through proposal oversight. The successful candidate will advise on market trends and pursuit priorities, represent the practice at industry events, and collaborate with executive leadership to align growth plans with operational capabilities. Responsibilities also include supporting thought leadership, advising clients on critical challenges, and mentoring emerging leaders. Candidates must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) or Traffic Engineer (TE) license and have at least 12 years of relevant experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, consulting, or a related field. AICP certification is preferred. Applicants should demonstrate success winning transportation work, leading client development and major pursuits, and building strong relationships across California’s transportation sector. Strong communication and presentation skills, experience mentoring professionals, and knowledge of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and CEQA/NEPA-related analyses are required; familiarity with industry-standard analysis tools is preferred.
