Chief Technology Officer (CTO), AI First, Fintech Industry Greater Santiago, Chile Area

The Company is seeking an AI-first Chief Technology Officer to lead its technology strategy and transformation in the financial sector. The role will define and deliver technology and AI initiatives aligned with business growth, identify opportunities to improve productivity and processes, and build AI agents and other solutions for production use. The CTO will guide technology architecture and data integration, while remaining hands-on in developing and improving solutions. Responsibilities also include ensuring operational continuity, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance; managing technology providers; building internal capabilities and a high-performing team; and partnering across leadership and business functions to turn needs into effective technology solutions. Candidates should have 10 or more years of technology experience, including at least five years leading development teams or functions, and experience in regulated financial organizations. Recent, demonstrable experience building and deploying LLM and AI solutions—such as agents, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, or data pipelines—is required. Strong skills in Python or TypeScript, APIs, cloud architecture, SQL, and data engineering are also needed, along with experience in technology architecture, process automation, and vendor management. Applicants should bring business acumen, strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and fluent English; knowledge of wealth management, investments, KYC processes, custody, portfolios, or financial regulation is an advantage.
