Head of Mathematics

The Company is seeking a Head of Mathematics to join their academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum leadership, ensuring the delivery of a rigorous Mathematics curriculum that aligns with international standards and facilitates smooth progression from lower secondary to advanced levels. This role also involves monitoring and optimizing academic performance, providing pedagogical supervision, and managing a team of specialist Mathematics educators to promote continuous professional development and best practices in STEM instruction. The Head of Mathematics will play a key role in guiding students in A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, as well as assisting with preparation for top global universities. Applicants for the Head of Mathematics position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Pure/Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, and possess a PGCE, QTS, Master of Education, or an equivalent state-certified teaching license. A minimum of 5 years' of secondary Mathematics teaching experience, with a proven track record of high A*/A pass rates in Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics/Further Mathematics, is required. The role demands strong skills in academic leadership, STEM education, and experience in managing departmental budgets, internal assessments, and external examination processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at data tracking, analysis, and implementing targeted interventions to support student attainment across all year groups.
