Managing Director

The Company is seeking a Managing Director to establish and grow its local business, oversee operations and compliance, and develop commercial opportunities. Responsibilities include building market presence, managing office operations and vendors, and coordinating corporate registration, banking, governance, and statutory requirements. The role will drive technical sales, proposals, tenders, and customer discussions in collaboration with engineering teams, while developing distributor and service-provider networks and supporting after-sales capabilities. The Managing Director will also prepare forecasts and reports, contribute to long-term strategy, and support future team expansion. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher; an engineering or business background is preferred. More than five years of experience in compressors, energy, marine, or automation is required, along with experience in technical sales, operations, or project coordination. The role also calls for a track record working with partners, distributors, or service providers and an understanding of administration and office operations in a startup environment. Native-level Japanese and fluent written and spoken English are required.
