Senior Legal Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide domestic and international legal support and partner with management on strategic business growth. Responsibilities include advising business teams on governance, employment, intellectual property, privacy, competition law, product development, sales, distribution, and commercial transactions. The role will manage investigations, disputes, litigation, and significant regulatory matters; advise leaders on balancing legal risks with business opportunities; and strengthen internal compliance. The Senior Legal Counsel will also select and oversee external law firms and improve the efficiency of legal services. Candidates should have at least 10 years of practical experience in general corporate law and commercial transactions, a bachelor’s degree, and completed legal studies or equivalent legal qualifications. Fluency in Japanese and business-level English, including the ability to draft legal documents, are required. Experience in technology, B2B, direct-to-consumer, or consumer products is preferred, as is experience advising executives or participating in business-unit leadership teams. A Japanese lawyer’s license is also preferred.
