Head of Quality

The Company is seeking a Head of Quality to lead its quality management function and help shape the strategic direction of quality management. Responsibilities include managing the department and developing quality methods, including risk assessment. The role oversees internal, external, and supplier audits, supports the ISO management system, and maintains and develops the quality management system. The successful candidate will address quality issues and complaints through root-cause analysis and effectiveness checks, develop testing strategies for existing and new products, and support development projects with prototype and pilot-series investigations. They will also partner with metalworking teams to strengthen quality awareness. Candidates should have a technical-mechanical education with higher education or an equivalent qualification, plus further training in quality management. Strong materials-science knowledge, particularly in steel and steel processing, is required, along with practical experience in quality management and assurance for high-quality consumer goods. Applicants should be familiar with common quality standards and methods and bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous-improvement skills. Excellent written and spoken German is required, as are customer focus, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.
