Head of Major Gifts

The Company is seeking a Head of Major Gifts to lead and grow its high-value individual giving programme across global markets. The role combines strategic planning with frontline fundraising, including building donor pipelines, identifying new opportunities, and personally cultivating and securing major gifts. The successful candidate will lead, coach, and develop a small team, set income targets, monitor performance, and manage team resources. They will also collaborate with senior leadership and colleagues across regions to advance fundraising strategy and develop principal-gift relationships. Candidates should have a strong track record of personally securing and managing six- and seven-figure gifts, alongside experience developing and delivering major or principal gifts strategies. Experience coaching or managing fundraisers, leading a small team with budget responsibility, and working in an international, complex nonprofit environment is required. A proactive new-business mindset and the ability to build donor relationships are essential. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders, with experience in conservation or international nonprofit work considered an advantage.
