Executive Director of Information Technology Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Information Technology to set the technology vision, goals, and multi-year roadmap supporting its research and teaching missions. The role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, staff, budgets, vendors, procurement, and classroom and conference-room audiovisual systems. The Executive Director will lead modernization, digital transformation, governance, project prioritization, cybersecurity, business continuity, and data management efforts. The position also advises senior leadership, coordinates with technology teams and stakeholders, and ensures IT services meet current and future organizational needs. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field, and at least 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience. Required qualifications include experience directing broad technology portfolios, strategy and modernization initiatives, staff development, budgeting, and vendor management, along with knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, continuity, data governance, and IT governance. Strong communication skills and the ability to advise executives and lead across complex organizations are essential. A relevant master’s degree, 15 or more years of experience, senior technology executive experience, and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are preferred.
