Vice President, SIEM Engineer Greater Baltimore, MD Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President, SIEM Engineer to strengthen its cyber response capabilities. The role involves developing and tuning security analytics, detection rules, alerts, and use cases to identify and respond to sophisticated threats. Responsibilities include monitoring and supporting SIEM platforms, producing security metrics and dashboards, and integrating SIEM capabilities into broader incident response workflows. The engineer will also collaborate across teams and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Candidates should have at least 10 years of cybersecurity experience, ideally in a Security Operations Center or cyber incident response team, and hands-on experience creating and managing SIEM detection logic. Required skills include SIEM rule tuning, correlation logic, alert deduplication, false-positive reduction, SOAR automation, threat techniques and use-case development, and indicators of compromise. Experience with data normalization, CI/CD tools, and intermediate Python scripting is also expected, along with strong communication, task management, and organizational skills.
