Executive Director, Data Management & Data Operations Greater Boston, MA Area + 2 more

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its master and reference data management and data operations capabilities. The role will define the product-line strategy, roadmap, operating model, investment priorities, and services across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. Responsibilities include establishing data stewardship and quality practices, improving data operations, setting direction for platforms and integration services, and applying AI and automation to strengthen data quality. The leader will build and develop a global multidisciplinary organization, guide enterprise adoption and transformation, and partner with senior stakeholders to align priorities and deliver measurable business value. The position also carries accountability for budgets, vendor performance, resource planning, and total cost of ownership. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, data management, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or MBA is preferred. At least 15 years of progressive data, digital, or technology leadership experience is required, including significant experience in a highly regulated industry and deep expertise in enterprise data management, governance, stewardship, quality, or ontology management. Applicants should bring experience leading data products and platforms through their full lifecycle, knowledge of manufacturing data and related business applications, and a record of leading large teams, budgets, and enterprise transformation. Strong stakeholder influence, executive communication, strategic planning, business analysis, demand management, and experience with Agile or Scrum are important. Experience with AI, advanced analytics, automation, and global delivery organizations is preferred.
