Fractional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to provide strategic technology and security leadership for a mission-driven organization. The role will assess risk exposure and develop a practical roadmap for cybersecurity, data governance, business continuity, and disaster recovery. Responsibilities include leading security gap analyses, strengthening information-handling policies, and advising on the protection of cloud and on-premises systems. The CISO will also work with internal teams and external providers to improve security operations, prepare for incidents, and guide technology priorities and upgrades. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience leading information security, technology risk, or enterprise IT strategy in complex environments. They should bring a record of building cybersecurity programs, risk frameworks, and recovery strategies, along with strong IT strategy and executive leadership skills. Hands-on knowledge of cloud and infrastructure environments, backup and disaster recovery, and server administration is required. Experience assessing security, operational, vendor, and data-management risks, familiarity with network and perimeter security, and excellent communication and advisory skills are also important.
