Head of College, College of Medicine & Health

The Company is seeking a Head of College to provide strategic and operational leadership for a large, multidisciplinary academic community in medicine and health. As a member of the university leadership team, the successful candidate will contribute to institutional strategy and shared responsibility for performance, culture, reputation, risk, and long-term sustainability. Responsibilities include advancing excellence in education, research, innovation, and engagement; developing people and culture; managing resources; and representing the College nationally and internationally. The role also involves strengthening partnerships that connect healthcare education, clinical training, research, innovation, and service improvement. Candidates should bring strong academic credibility, sound judgment, governance expertise, and proven senior leadership experience in a complex higher-education environment. They must demonstrate financial and resource management capability, inclusive and collegial leadership, and a record of building effective partnerships with government, funders, industry, professional bodies, alumni, civic partners, and relevant health organizations. The successful candidate will be able to lead with ambition while collaborating across the wider institution and supporting excellence across the College’s academic mission.
