Fractional Head of Engineering (Brownfield)

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering (Brownfield) to lead multidisciplinary engineering for modifications, upgrades, tie-ins, and integration with existing offshore facilities throughout project execution. Responsibilities include providing engineering governance and technical assurance, coordinating interfaces across engineering and project delivery teams, and ensuring designs meet applicable requirements, standards, safety criteria, and facility constraints. The role also oversees site surveys, field verification, and contractor and vendor engineering deliverables. The successful candidate will resolve technical issues and changes, manage engineering risks and progress, and promote lessons learned and continuous improvement. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline and have at least 10 years of engineering and major-project execution experience, including six years in oil and gas and two years in a supervisory or oversight role. Extensive experience with multidisciplinary brownfield engineering and modifications to existing offshore facilities is required, along with demonstrated ability to manage interfaces between existing assets and new project scope. Candidates should have broad knowledge of engineering standards, codes, specifications, and safety criteria, plus experience with site surveys, constructability, SIMOPS, shutdowns, tie-ins, and system integration. Strong technical expertise in at least one engineering discipline, broad multidisciplinary knowledge, and experience applying risk assessment to decisions are also required.
