Head of Engineering, Maintenance & Engineering

The Company is seeking an engineering leader to oversee engineering and maintenance operations at a food-processing facility. Responsibilities include leading site maintenance activities, managing preventative and reactive maintenance programmes, and improving equipment reliability while minimizing production downtime. The role also covers engineering KPIs, performance reporting, calibration schedules, maintenance planning, and compliance with food safety, health and safety, and engineering standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with production teams and contractors, support capital projects and continuous improvement, and coach the engineering team. Candidates should have experience as an Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager in food manufacturing or a comparable fast-moving consumer goods environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance and quality systems in regulated manufacturing, preventative maintenance, engineering compliance, and continuous improvement is required. The role also calls for experience overseeing repairs, calibration, and contractors, along with knowledge of root cause analysis, deviations, and good documentation practices. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is a hands-on approach to manufacturing operations.
