Vice President, Surgical Services Administration Greater Elmira, NY Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Surgical Services to provide strategic, operational, clinical, and financial leadership across a multisite network of hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. The role oversees perioperative operations, sterile processing, endoscopy, and other procedural services, while developing an integrated operating model and multiyear strategy. Key responsibilities include improving quality, safety, access, capacity, workforce effectiveness, patient and physician experience, and financial performance. The Vice President will lead service growth and site-of-care planning, establish governance and performance standards, oversee budgets and capital planning, and drive data-informed improvement. The position also requires close partnership with physicians and senior leaders to align clinical priorities, operational plans, and measurable outcomes. Candidates must have a master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing administration, or a related field, and at least 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including substantial responsibility for surgical, perioperative, or procedural operations. Required experience includes leading complex multisite healthcare operations, improving performance, managing workforces and budgets, and partnering effectively with physicians and executives. The role calls for demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operational plans and sustained results. Experience with ambulatory surgery centers, endoscopy, site-of-care strategy, financial analysis, capital planning, or system-wide performance management is preferred. A relevant clinical degree, professional license, or healthcare leadership certification is also preferred.
