Head of Application Management

The Company is seeking a Head of Application Management to oversee end-to-end software delivery across backend systems and client-facing applications. The role leads and scales offshore development teams, establishes delivery governance and quality standards, and drives engineering modernization as part of a digital transformation roadmap. Responsibilities include evolving enterprise architecture, advancing cloud-native deployment and automation, and ensuring platforms remain secure, scalable, and resilient. The successful candidate will also serve as the senior technical escalation point, leading incident management, root-cause analysis, and ongoing resilience improvements. Candidates should have at least 10 years of software engineering experience, including five or more years in senior leadership within banking, digital banking, or fintech. They should bring a strong record of leading large-scale platform transformations and managing offshore development, with expertise across modern web and mobile technologies, Java-based backend services, cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience in scalable system design, API integration, incident management, disaster recovery, and high availability under regulatory requirements is essential. The role also requires strategic communication with senior executives, strong cross-cultural leadership and vendor negotiation skills, calm decision-making during incidents, and fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin.
