Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Cardiopulmonary

The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead technology research, product development, and sustaining engineering across a global organization. The role includes setting and executing technology strategy, advancing innovation and external collaborations, and ensuring complex development programs meet schedule, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements. The CTO will oversee products throughout their lifecycle, support reliable product availability, and drive efficiency through digitalization and process improvement. Responsibilities also include leading and developing international engineering teams, guiding organizational change, and managing resources, capabilities, performance measures, and financial targets. Candidates should hold a master’s degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical field; business acumen is valued. They should bring extensive experience leading global engineering organizations and leaders, along with a proven record in medical device development involving electromechanical systems and disposable products. Strong knowledge of regulated product development, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and engineering processes is required, as is experience leading innovation and complex cross-functional programs. The role also calls for success in international matrix organizations, organizational transformation, strong communication and stakeholder skills, strategic and operational judgment, a customer and patient focus, and fluency in English.
