Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Hiring Company
About the Role
Greater Leeds, United Kingdom Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic partner to its senior leadership and contribute to organizational strategy, performance, and long-term sustainability. The CFO will lead balance sheet and capital management, financial planning, investment performance, and resource allocation, while providing commercial insight and constructive challenge on major decisions. Responsibilities include strengthening financial governance, risk management, controls, reporting, and systems, and supporting the organization’s accounting responsibilities. The role also involves representing the organization with government, investors, regulators, and other senior stakeholders, while building a high-performing finance function. Candidates should bring substantial senior finance leadership experience, ideally as a CFO or in a comparably broad role within a sophisticated financial institution or organization with complex investment and capital responsibilities. They should have deep expertise in balance sheet and capital management, strong investment and commercial judgment, and experience advising executive and board-level leaders. The role requires a record of operating in robust governance and control environments, engaging senior external stakeholders, and developing finance teams through growth or transformation. Experience across both public and private sectors is valuable, and a professional accountancy qualification is advantageous, though equivalent senior-level expertise may also be considered.
