Associate Vice President, Policy Wording & Forms

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Policy Wording & Forms to lead the development, review, governance, and regulatory filing of policy forms across its specialty insurance portfolio. Responsibilities include maintaining approved wording libraries and templates, advising underwriters on manuscript language and coverage intent, and ensuring forms align with underwriting strategy, risk appetite, and applicable regulations. The role will oversee state filing processes, monitor regulatory developments, and establish controls to identify and mitigate wording-related risks. It will also provide technical guidance across business functions, deliver training, and report on forms, filings, and emerging risks. Candidates should have 8–12 or more years of experience in policy wording, forms development, product development, coverage, or underwriting within commercial or specialty property and casualty insurance. Demonstrated expertise drafting and maintaining policy forms, endorsements, and manuscript wordings, along with knowledge of U.S. insurance regulation and excess and surplus lines filings, is required. Experience managing regulatory filings and objections, including through filing platforms, and a strong understanding of coverage interpretation are essential. A bachelor’s degree in business, law, insurance, risk management, or a related field is required; a legal background, relevant insurance designation, and experience across specialty lines are preferred.
