Vice President of Engineering

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to own the technical direction and engineering organization for a foundational platform that enables safe, scalable, and compliant AI capabilities. The role combines hands-on technical leadership, platform architecture, and team building, with responsibility for taking AI capabilities into production. The successful candidate will build and lead a high-performing engineering team and partner with product, legal, compliance, security, and executive stakeholders. They will make high-stakes technical decisions, communicate progress and risks clearly, and shape how AI systems are designed, governed, and delivered. Candidates should bring at least 13 years of software engineering experience, including five years leading engineering teams, and experience hiring and managing teams of 15 or more engineers. Required expertise includes low-latency distributed systems, large language models, log management architectures, compliance in regulated industries, and deep AWS knowledge. Professional experience with modern technology stacks, including Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, AWS CDK CLI, and/or Golang, is also required, along with a record of building scalable systems from scratch. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 15 or more years of experience, or a master’s degree in computer science with 13 or more years of experience, is required; advanced study or equivalent experience in machine learning or AI research is an advantage.
