Executive Director

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its strategic direction, external engagement, financial sustainability, and organizational health. The role includes implementing the organization’s strategic plan, setting priorities across policy and regulatory issues, and stewarding relationships with members and diverse stakeholders. The Executive Director will represent the organization in key decision-making forums, build partnerships across differing interests, and lead revenue development and financial stewardship. Responsibilities also include developing the leadership team, fostering collaboration and a culture of trust, and partnering with the boards on governance, strategy, and fundraising. Candidates should bring strong knowledge of the renewable energy sector and an understanding of how policy, regulation, markets, and project development interact. Essential qualifications include experience building coalitions, influencing policy or regulatory outcomes, setting organizational strategy, and leading and developing managers. Experience in revenue development, nonprofit operations, board partnership, and building relationships with regional stakeholders is valued. Inclusive leadership and the ability to build trust with rural and Tribal communities are also important; prior Executive Director experience is not required.
