Vice President, Head of Quality Control (QC) Greater Reading, United Kingdom Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President and Head of Quality Control to lead its UK QC organization. Responsibilities include developing a high-performing team, shaping a scalable operating model, and overseeing analytical development, release, and stability testing across the product lifecycle. The role will maintain an inspection-ready quality framework and ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. It will also direct analytical strategy and external testing partnerships, while supporting product progression, operational excellence, and cost control through cross-functional leadership. Candidates should have an advanced scientific qualification, preferably a PhD, or equivalent industry experience, alongside significant leadership experience in biologics, viral vector, or advanced therapy environments. Required expertise includes GMP and global regulatory requirements, inspection readiness, analytical compliance, method validation and lifecycle management, technology transfer, and data integrity. The role also calls for a strong record of building teams and developing organizational capability, plus technical leadership in QC strategy, specifications, and complex quality challenges. Commercial and operational skills, including resource planning, budget accountability, workload prioritization, and oversight of outsourced testing, are essential, as are excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
