Head of Project Development

The Company is seeking a Head of Project Development to lead the full development cycle for utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects in Germany, from site identification and feasibility through permitting, grid connection, and Ready-to-Build status. Responsibilities include setting strategic direction for the development team, managing its day-to-day work, and expanding the project pipeline through direct development, land acquisition, partnerships, and co-development. The role also supports project acquisitions and due diligence, assessing technical, commercial, and development risks. The successful candidate will help grow the development function and deliver its project targets. Candidates should have 7–10 years of renewable energy project development experience, ideally involving solar PV and battery storage; relevant onshore wind experience may also be considered. Strong knowledge of German permitting, grid connection, land acquisition, and approval processes is required, along with the ability to prioritize a development pipeline and shape regional grid connection strategy. Applicants should bring hands-on experience with early-stage projects and a technical understanding of PV and battery storage development. Previous experience leading a team is desirable, though candidates ready to take on their first leadership role are also welcome.
