The role combines hands-on security operations with strategic program ownership, including incident response, cloud and identity security, vendor risk, phishing and impersonation defense, policy, compliance readiness, and platform protection. The CISO will build and maintain an inventory of the organization’s technology and integrations, develop AI-driven systems for security testing and monitoring, and set standards for secure AI use and agent deployment. Candidates should have at least 10 years of security experience, including three or more years leading a security function at an organization of 100 or more people. They must have led live incident response, built or rebuilt a security program, and be experienced with cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM, endpoint protection, and email security. Strong coding and automation skills, practical daily use of AI agents, and current knowledge of AI-specific security risks are required. Experience in crypto, fintech, or another high-fraud industry, along with clear executive communication and policy-writing skills, is essential; experience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001, production AI agents, and relevant security certifications is an advantage.
