Executive Director, Leadership Principal Giving Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Leadership Principal Giving to identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts from high-capacity donors. The role involves managing a portfolio of 40–60 prospects, developing donor strategies and proposals, and consistently soliciting and closing seven- and eight-figure gifts. The Executive Director will collaborate with academic leaders and colleagues to shape transformational funding opportunities, steward donors, and maintain accurate records of engagement, proposals, and forecasts. The position also carries an annual fundraising target of $25 million or more within three years. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated record of successful full-cycle donor strategy, including 6–8 years of closing gifts of $1 million or more annually and raising $5 million or more through strategic solicitation. Strong communication, emotional intelligence, project management, discretion, adaptability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are required. Experience with fundraising databases or CRM systems and frequent donor travel are also expected. Preferred qualifications include a record of closing gifts of $10 million or more, 10 or more years of fundraising experience, and a graduate degree or professional fundraising certification.
