Senior Vice President of Operations

The Company is seeking a senior operations executive to strengthen and scale a multi-entity commercial mechanical, plumbing, and electrical contracting platform. The role will work alongside local operators to identify operational challenges, recommend practical improvements, and establish consistent processes across the businesses. Key responsibilities include building workforce planning systems that align bookings and backlog with technician capacity, improving estimating and project management standards, and reviewing work in progress and job margins. The executive will also develop operational KPIs and routines, coach project managers and estimators, support leadership development, improve business performance, and create a repeatable approach to integrating acquisitions. Candidates must have VP-level or higher experience in operations at a commercial MEP contractor or construction firm, with strong working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing. Relevant experience may come from the trades, field supervision, project management, or operations leadership, and should include leading across multiple business units or sites. Applicants should demonstrate hands-on expertise in estimating, work-in-progress management, forecasting, and margins, along with a record of improving or growing a business and earning the trust of operating teams. Experience with private-equity-backed platforms, acquisition integration, commercial service, or replacement work is an advantage.
