Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to oversee a range of financial and managerial tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements in compliance with HGB and their reconciliation to IFRS. This role also involves managing the finance team, handling intercompany reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of general ledger and sub-ledger accounting. The Head of Accounting will serve as an interface with tax and audit authorities, provide technical support to international entities and the parent group, and be involved in the control of payment processes and postings. Additionally, the role includes participation in optimization and digitalization projects, as well as tax filings and support with annual tax returns. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a degree or vocational training in finance or accounting, with a strong background in tax and financial law. A minimum of several years' of relevant experience in an internationally oriented company is required. The ideal candidate will have a structured, independent, and analytical approach to work, and be a confident user of SAP R/3 and Excel. Fluency in both German and English is essential. The role also demands a proactive attitude towards the further development of internal finance processes and the ability to lead the finance team effectively.
