Head of Process Engineering, Refinery & Industrial Production

The Company is seeking a Head of Process Engineering for its refinery and industrial production site. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing a new process engineering department, providing support for ongoing operations, and leading efforts to optimize plant performance, efficiency, and yield. This role involves the identification and elimination of bottlenecks, management of projects related to capacity expansion and process improvement, and the development of technical strategies, particularly in the areas of automation and digitalization. The Head of Process Engineering will also be expected to collaborate closely with production, planning, and profitability analysis teams, and to have a strong focus on production and efficiency KPIs. Applicants for the Head of Process Engineering position at the company should hold a degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field, and have a solid background in process engineering, including experience with simulation tools and process safety. The role requires fluency in English, with German language skills also necessary, and a background in the operation of industrial plants such as refineries or chemical plants. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable leadership experience in a technical environment, strong competence in process optimization and problem analysis, and the ability to build and lead teams.
