Head of Raw Material Sourcing

The Company is seeking a Head of Raw Material Sourcing to lead a team in the strategic identification and selection of high-quality raw materials for the production of leathergoods. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the sourcing function is in line with the company's standards of quality, creativity, sustainability, and industrial requirements. This role involves leading the team in the identification, evaluation, and development of strategic suppliers, as well as monitoring market trends and innovations in the fashion and leathergoods industry. Collaboration with design, product development, purchasing, and production teams is essential to support collection development and industrial feasibility. Key requirements for the position include significant experience in the leathergoods industry within a luxury brand, a strong knowledge of raw materials, supplier management, and sourcing processes, and a solid understanding of industrial and product development dynamics. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, as well as leadership capabilities and previous team management experience. A strong sensitivity toward quality, innovation, and sustainability topics is also a must. Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in French and Italian considered a strong plus. The role demands a proactive individual who can build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external partners, and who is willing to participate in industry events and market scouting initiatives to stay abreast of new trends and technologies.
