Head of Microservices & Event Streaming Platform

The Company is seeking a senior engineering leader to head its enterprise microservices and event-streaming platform. The role leads specialized teams across engineering, operations, enablement, and collaboration with product teams, ensuring the platform is reliable, scalable, and delivers effective service. Responsibilities include overseeing solution design and delivery across projects, managing architecture and implementation reviews, and aligning technical solutions with business needs. The leader will also manage vendors, budgets, service levels, policies, and team performance while driving continuous improvement. Candidates should have at least eight years of technology services experience, including a banking background, and five or more years managing teams that build or operate technology platforms. Hands-on leadership of production microservices and event-streaming platforms at scale is required, along with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or an equivalent field. Relevant project management, Agile, cloud, and IT service management qualifications or experience are expected. Strong stakeholder communication, commercial judgment, capacity and portfolio planning, security awareness, software engineering, service delivery, and change management skills are important.
