Head of R&D

The Company is seeking a visionary Head of R&D to define and execute its scientific and technological roadmap. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, driving the creation of next-generation sensing technologies, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex R&D programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong scientific background, capable of translating research into commercial products and competitive advantages. The Head of R&D will also be instrumental in identifying emerging scientific trends, building strategic collaborations, and promoting scientific visibility through publications and conference presentations. Applicants for the Head of R&D position at the company must have a PhD or Master's degree in Physics, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in leading scientific research or industrial R&D organizations. A proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams, complex innovation programs, and a strong background in neutron detection technologies or related fields is essential. The role demands a leader with excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a passion for scientific innovation. The Head of R&D will be the key interface between R&D, executive leadership, and external stakeholders, and must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence both technical and non-technical audiences. Fluency in English is required, and experience in European research funding programs and innovation frameworks is a plus.
