Vice President of Construction

The Company is seeking a VP of Construction to oversee the production of new homes, ensuring quality, cost control, and adherence to policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing superintendents, subcontractors, and company crews, as well as acting as a liaison with external contacts and a qualifying agent for permitting. Key duties include conducting inspections, negotiating with suppliers, and continuously evaluating and implementing cost-reduction strategies. The VP of Construction will also be involved in coordinating the production schedule, holding meetings, and addressing service problems. A bachelor's degree is preferred, with 7-10 years' experience in homebuilding construction. The role requires the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. The VP of Construction will be expected to have a clear vision, be effective in organizing, and inspire subordinates to meet the company's objectives. Physical requirements include the ability to work at a desk and on a computer for extended periods and to lift up to 35 pounds. The position is with an EEO employer.
