Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Smart City & Technology

The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead the technology strategy and delivery of large-scale Smart City initiatives. The CTO will be the technical authority, responsible for ensuring the integration of various Smart City technologies into a secure, scalable, and interoperable ecosystem. This includes overseeing ICT infrastructure, IoT, AI video analytics, GIS, command centers, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. The role involves providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to operations, and representing the company in technical engagements with government stakeholders and strategic partners. Candidates for the CTO position should have a Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant technical discipline, with at least 10-12 years' experience in ICT infrastructure, system integration, Smart City, telecommunications, IoT, security technology, or large-scale technology implementation. A minimum of five years in a senior technical architecture, solution architecture, engineering leadership, or technology management role is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of Smart City architecture, AI-enabled technologies, IoT platforms, GIS, and various IT infrastructure components. Experience in Smart City or government ICT projects is strongly preferred, along with excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in English is essential, with additional language skills in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin being advantageous.
