Interim Head of Finance

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its financial operations, reporting, and team. This role is pivotal in the company's day-to-day financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, monthly close process, cash flow management, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the finance team, business modeling, budget setting, and quarterly forecasting. Additionally, the Head of Finance will prepare and present the consolidated group position to the CFO and Founder, monitor liquidity, manage working capital, and lead the development of business intelligence. The role also involves leading the annual audit, statutory accounts, and corporation tax process, as well as managing process improvement and optimization. Applicants for the Head of Finance position at the company should be CCAB qualified or hold an equivalent professional accountancy body qualification, with at least 8 years' of post-qualification experience in senior finance roles. A strong technical background in management accounts, statutory reporting, audit, tax, and cash flow management is essential, as is advanced Excel skills. The role requires excellent communication, the ability to build strong relationships, and a resilient, problem-solving attitude. Experience in SaaS-based accounting tools, particularly Xero, and exposure to funding processes, capital structure work, or M&A transaction support is desirable. The Head of Finance will also be expected to work closely with the CFO on the group's Research and Development programs and support sister companies on financial matters.
