Head of Production

The Company is in search of a Head of Production with a strong background in high-volume manufacturing operations, particularly in the AGM or lead-acid battery industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators, and for managing daily production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets. A key focus of the role is to ensure strict adherence to manufacturing specifications, process controls, SOPs, and quality standards, while driving productivity, OEE, yield improvement, downtime reduction, and cost optimization. The Head of Production will also be expected to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, and to support various operational excellence initiatives. Applicants for the Head of Production position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8-10 years' manufacturing experience, and at least 5 years in a leadership role within a large production team in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, OEE, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis is essential, as is a proven track record in people leadership and workforce development. While not mandatory, certification in Lean Six Sigma or TPM, as well as exposure to international manufacturing operations, are preferred.
