Chief of Maintenance

The Company is seeking a Chief of Maintenance to oversee the safe, efficient, and economical operation and maintenance of its properties. This high-level administrative role involves directing the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department, including the assignment, direction, and supervision of technical and clerical staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as for the development and implementation of maintenance and renovation plans. The Chief of Maintenance will also be involved in budget preparation, contract management, and the establishment of safety and security programs. Applicants for the Chief of Maintenance position at the company should have a strong background in property maintenance and renovation, with a focus on trade work areas such as electrical, plumbing, roofing, and painting. The role requires knowledge of safety practices, budgeting, and fiscal management, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, supervise staff, and make independent decisions. A minimum of a high school diploma is required, along with a combination of education and experience in property maintenance and project management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, and must possess a valid New York State Class D Driver's License.
