Associate Vice President, Operations & Trade Support

The Company is seeking an experienced AVP - Operations/Trade Support professional to join their team. This hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth transition of trades and investment activities from order to settlement, with a strong focus on operational oversight and risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily trade and investment operations support, monitoring and resolving various exceptions, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to efficiently address issues. Additionally, the role involves supporting ETF launches, system changes, and testing, as well as managing operational incidents and conducting root-cause analysis to enhance operational standards. Applicants for this role at the company should have 8-12 years' of experience in trade support, middle office, investment operations, ETF operations, or fund operations within an asset management environment. A strong understanding of the order-to-trade and investment lifecycle is essential, with exposure to active ETFs, equities, fixed income, or derivatives being highly valued. The role requires advanced Excel skills, and experience with SQL, Python, or automation is a plus. Strong stakeholder management skills are necessary, as is experience with BlackRock Aladdin. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of other financial tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Charles River, MSCI Barra, or Eikon, and be adept at identifying opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and automate manual activities.
