Head of Base Metals

The Company is seeking a Head of Base Metals to establish and lead its base metals trading desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the desk's strategy, market coverage, and trading activities from the ground up. This role involves originating and executing physical base metals transactions, managing the P&L, and taking full commercial ownership of trading performance. The Head of Base Metals will also be tasked with building a team and network over time, with the autonomy to operate independently and recruit additional traders and support staff as the business grows. Applicants for the Head of Base Metals position should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in physical base metals trading, with a proven track record of generating and managing significant P&L. A strong entrepreneurial and commercial mindset is essential, as is a robust network of counterparties. Experience in building or developing a trading business or desk is highly desirable. The role requires a candidate who is located in Singapore and is ready to take on the challenge of leading a key segment of the business.
