Executive Director, Carbon Capture, Bio-Industrial Solutions & Circular Materials

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Carbon Capture, Bio-Industrial Solutions, and Circular Materials. This senior leadership role is pivotal in building and leading an integrated business focused on carbon capture and circular materials, including CCUS, biochar, algae-based CO₂ capture, and fly ash utilization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic roadmap, evaluating and scaling technologies, establishing commercial operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities also include leading multidisciplinary teams, building commercial partnerships, and driving the development of commercially viable products and solutions. The role demands a strong techno-commercial leader with a background in industrial projects, process engineering, environmental engineering, biotechnology, or related sectors, and a proven track record in managing pilot-to-commercial-scale projects. Candidates for this role at The Company should have 15-25 years' of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years' in a leadership position. A background in engineering or a related discipline is essential, with additional qualifications in business, carbon accounting, EHS, project management, or quality systems being advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial execution exposure, the ability to translate emerging technologies into commercial projects, and a deep understanding of carbon accounting, MRV, and environmental regulations. Key attributes include a strong plant and project execution mindset, a hands-on leadership style, and the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly evolving climate-tech business. The role requires a candidate with a strong commercial and leadership capability, who can manage multidisciplinary teams and build new projects from the ground up.
